Stars of Mougins : 6th International Gastronomy and Lifestyle Festival

The «Etoiles de Mougins» is the first Gastronomy Festival in the world that brings together a large panel of great chefs and the public at large for demonstrations, discovery and competitions. From September 16-18, 2011, the village of Mougins is transformed into a vast open-air theater of taste and welcomes the world most famous chefs (eight out of ten of them are participating for the first time) who come to share with a passionate audience the love of their art: gastronomy. The abundance of the Festival program comprises many public demonstrations of chefs and numerous workshops, including a Laurent Perrier area where to learn to mix Champagne and dishes. There is also competitions for young chefs and amateurs. Finally, visual artists work with chefs to create a culinary Arts course in the village. This year, crafts linked to gastronomy: bakery, wine, dessert gastronomy will be honored at their real value in the course of a meal. The guest of honor and godfather of the 2011 edition is chef Eric Frechon, three Michelin stars and elected by his peers, Chef of the Year 2010.
