"We're keeping the fundamentals, but we're aware of the need to widen our positioning to encompass a broader range." he explained. To adapt to the natural evolution in the music market, a number of innovations have been implemented to reach a larger ecosystem around music creation. midem, which this year ran from Saturday to Tuesday, brought together technology companies, advertising agencies and brands around artists and traditional music industry players, participants reaching to 6,900.

Managers, promoters, labels, brands, labels, publishers, established artists, and independent bands all met at Midem to dialogue and share ideas. Visionary Monday provided Midem delegates with access to a host of forward thinkers for a day of high-octane conferences by industry experts, discussions, presentations and data exchange focussing on audience engagement. midem 2012 has welcomed 30 developers, hackers and creative designers from around the world for 48 hours to design a new generation of music applications.
