Miss Côte d’Azur 2012
A Nice beauty queen elected ambassador for our region.
It is in the unique setting of the Tivoli Theatre in Le Cannet that was held on August 2 the 2012 Miss Côte d'Azur election. This election was organized by the "Miss Provence - Alpes - Cote d'Azur" committee, under the aegis of the Miss France Society of which Sylvie Tellier, the General Manager, was present for this great event accompanied by Malika Menard, Miss France 2010. The 14 Miss and dauphines from Beausoleil, Biot, Mandelieu, Menton and Vallauris came to parade before a large audience that admired them, as well as before a jury composed of different personalities such as former F1 pilot Patrick Tambay or singer Sebastien El Chato, and the representative of the Miss France Endemol company, Nicole Chevrier. They were each in turn to come to the microphone of the host of the evening, to explain their motivation to become Miss Côte d’Azur, what they did, some of them more or less awkwardly when others were more confident, but all gave a moving speech if a little scholastic.
Then candidates performed parades, with a first passage in long evening dress embellished of feathers, rhinestones and sequins, then in resort outfit equipped with their scarves, in mini tight dress or white swimsuit topped with angel wings. And finally in white robes for the finale, each trying to highlight elegance and poise. All were wearing their number as a standard, so that halfway through, the jury and the public had a penchant between a brunette and a blonde competitor: number 9 for Charlotte Mint (Miss Beausoleil) and 11 for Cecilia Sans , whose sister Audrey was Miss Cote d'Azur in 2011.
While the girls were changing outfits, the show went on with acrobats on skates, "The Rollers Pilar". Sébastien Lorca, singer of the musical "Ali Baba" performed well known varieties success that the public ovationed, claiming an "encore" at the end.
Finally it was the outcome after the public (first 500 entries) and members of the jury vote counting. It was the magic moment of consecration for the 18-year old beautiful Charlotte Mint, from Nice, which received the crown, a tiara topped with brilliants, delicately placed on her gorgeous brown hair. She thus succeeds Charlotte Murray, Miss Côte d'Azur 2011 and 4th Dauphine to Miss France 2012. The blonde girl from Mougins is her first Dauphine.
The winner, surrounded by her Dauphines, wept for joy, already dreaming of glory as she will represent the department in December at the Miss France election in Limoges, and will have the honor to represent our beautiful region throughout the year.
