Closing of the 2012 Carnaval de Nice
On Sunday, March 4 was held the closing of one of the largest and most prestigious carnival in the world with Rio and Venice: the Carnaval de Nice. On the Promenade des Anglais, Mr Christian Estrosi, Mayor of Nice and President of Nice Côte d'Azur, thanked and saluted the work of all trades who mobilized during the festivities of the Carnival: carnavaliers, florists, service providers and security services who have worked to make this celebration a success. After the tradition, Carnaval King of Sports was burned at sea.
Abundance of ambitious real estate projects at global level
Delegations from 83 countries gathered in Cannes this week to attend a MIPIM which saw minds concentrated on quality, low risk investment opportunities, urban development and how the tight debt financing situation will impact the European market. 19,300 delegates, including 4,200 investors have had a close look at what capital like Paris, London or Brussels and prime cities like Manchester or Hamburg had to offer in terms of new, ambitious and attracting projects.

Corou de Berra polyphonic songs
On March 11, the vocal ensemble Corou de Berra performed a concert in the Sainte Separate church, in the heart of old Nice, for various charities. The Corou Berra is a polyphonic choir composed of five mixed voices, from the popular tradition of southern alps.The group, which this year celebrates 25 years of existence, has established itself as a reference on the subject, in a register exploring a wide range of emotions, from intimacy to universal.
The Oscar of the Franco-British Culinairy "Entente Cordiale" celebrates its 5th anniversary
After the Westminster College in London in 2011, the Lycée Paul Valéry in Menton hosted the professional hoteliers school from the Riviera and their British pairs for an annual competition, in which the winner couple was awarded the Oscar for the Culinairy Entente Cordiale at the Escoffier Museum of Culinary Art in Villeuneuve-Loubet with the winner students, the finalists and schools teachers.
Presidents Presidents exhibitions at Nice Villa Massena
On March 2 at the Villa Massena, Mr Christian Estrosi, Mayor of Nice and President of Nice Côte d'Azur inaugurated the exhibition "Presidents Presidents" (exhibition until March 19). Nice and the Côte d'Azur has always been a destination for official kings, princes, and presidents of the Republic. This appointment by the image of the 23 presidents had the honor of the prestigious setting of the Villa Massena.

Sharing worlds - 20 years of Tipaza publications
In 2012, Tipaza editions are celebrating their twenty years. On this occasion, a collective work is published in the collection Néographies. Its title and theme is "Sharing Worlds" and consists of twenty-five previously unpublished texts by contemporary poets and as many works by visual artists. The exhibition features original works of artists and texts from the book.

A flowered parking inaugurated in Cannes
After three years of construction, the parking Saint-Nicolas, located at the corner of Avenue St. Nicolas and Mimont Street was inaugurated March 28, 2012 in the presence of Mr. Bernard Brochant, Deputy Mayor of Cannes, Maria Pilar, General Consul of Portugal in Marseille, and members of the City Council. Beyond its functionality, this new construction has a very high environmental and aesthetic character.
Heavent Meetings South back in the City of Festivals

The Danish Design House hosts Olivier Menu's Exhibition
The Rue d'Antibes showroom of classic and modern contemporary style Danish furniture hosts a large exhibition of painter artist Olivier Menu. Olivier Menu was born in Dunkirk in 1977. Holder of a diploma in visual communications in 2001 at the ECV Bordeaux. In 2005, he decided to swap his computer against brushes; self-taught and completely involved in his passion, he made his job out of it. He is exhibiting in numerous galleries in France, Switzerland and the United States.
Fans of the sea have plunged for Mediterranea
The International Festival of Underwater Picture and Adventure which was held from March 30 to April 1 at Fort Carré in Antibes gathered as usual many fans of the sea and its underwater landscapes. An event that is part of an particularly strong heritage tradition in the heart of a city that welcomed the pioneers of diving, starting with the iconic Captain Cousteau and his Calipso.
The wood on the rise in Cannes
On March 30 was inaugurated in the presence of numerous personalities including Mr. Bernard Brochand, Deputy Mayor of Cannes and the President of the Provence Alpes Côte d'Azur, the most important wood boiler in the PACA region. This new wood boiler with its imposing 47-meter chimney, whose cost amounted 400,000 euros of work, an upgrading of fire safety and the pyralene transformer replacement, will heat 900 homes in the neighborhood of Ranguin, including a kindergarten.
