London Designer Outlet

London Designer Outlet: Welcome to the future…

London Designer Outlet (LDO) will be London’s first designer outlet centre, and the only designer outlet within the M25. It is the first of the ‘next generation’ of outlet centres and will create London’s ultimate retail, restaurant and entertainment lifestyle destination as a central part of Quintain’s mixed-use Wembley City scheme. LDO offers 350,000 sq ft (32,515 sq m) of retail and leisure floorspace and is the closest outlet for 5.8m people – the largest catchment for any UK outlet.

The outlet will include up to 85 units of stylish fashion, sports, home-ware and lifestyle brands, up to 15 cosmopolitan restaurants and bars and a brand new nine-screen, Cineworld cinema complex, seating 1,800 people over three levels. Five restaurant brands have signed leases: Pizza Express, Prezzo, Frankie & Benny’s, Jimmy Spice, Handmade Burger Co. Two retail brands have exchanged, with further deals in solicitors hands. 40% of the scheme is let or in advanced stages of negotiation. Work started on site in autumn 2011. The centre is due to open in 2013. Wembley City is the transformation of 85 acres of land surrounding Wembley Stadium and Arena, creating a landmark mixed-use project, including 5,500 homes, office and commercial space, a new Civic Centre, a 4* luxury Hilton hotel, an apart-hotel and London Designer Outlet. An estimated 9,300 people will work at Wembley City when it is completed. Quintain Estates and Development plc is a property investment and development company, listed on the London Stock Exchange. Quintain operates through two businesses: Fund Management and Urban Regeneration. Quintain’s retail portfolio will consist of 2m sq ft of retail parks, individual local needs units, designer outlets and boutique store space across the UK. Many of these will be within the company’s 20m sq ft of major regeneration schemes - Wembley City and Greenwich Peninsula - as well as within its Fund Management business.
