Lille Region is a key meeting point for the creators of precocious architectural spaces and the most innovative textile designers. Lille Region is proud to present their skills and knowledge in art-textile through innovation, creativity and communication, 3 values recounted on 5 boards at the show. Innovation, embodied by Damart, which has re-invented intelligent textiles to meet the most stringent requirements; on the cutting edge, the brand unveils their latest surprises which are able to sculpt the body, cool you down or make you thinner. Creativity, represented by "Maisons de Mode", a unique initiative in France, which helps young international designers. Two designers have just presented their collections: The Ysterique brand which has conquered the USA, Kuwait and Japan in just two years with its sexy girly outfits; and Orlane Herbin, a designer who has been seducing distributers throughout the world with his pure lines and tasteful materials. Communication of knowledge through Esmod, the school which was founded in 1841 and which today trains around 3,500 fashion students in 14 countries. The 5 pieces on show are unique and were all dreamed up by students from Esmod.
The ”Fashion Show” was opened with a creation of Mode in France. This group of companies which includes regional small ready-to-wear manufacturers from the region, is a partner to some of the largest names in haute couture. They are the fashion designers who bring lace and embroidery to life, the very same that were admired by 2 billion people on Kate Middleton’s wedding dress during her wedding.
