The King is Dead, Long Live the King

Closing of the 2012 Carnaval de Nice

On Sunday, March 4 was held the closing of one of the largest and most prestigious carnival in the world with Rio and Venice: the Carnaval de Nice.

On a platform installed on the Promenade des Anglais facing the Tourism Board, Mr Christian Estrosi, Mayor of Nice and President of Nice Côte d'Azur, thanked and saluted the work of all trades who mobilized during the festivities of the Carnival: carnavaliers, florists, service providers and security services who have worked to make this celebration a success.

The closing festivities of this 128th edition of carnival in Nice on the Promenade des Anglais was an opportunity for Christian Estrosi to announce a preview of the theme Carnival 2013: Carnival 2013 will be "King of the five continents" with Francophone countries as guests of honor

And then according to tradition, His Majesty King of Sports, was burned at sea, and the Castle Hill caught fire and musical fireworks ended the festivities.
