Contest "The Côte d'Azur Golden Neptune"


The winner of the 2012 edition of the "Neptune d'Or" is Christophe Le Digol, from L'Auberge du Père Bise in Talloires.

The second is Stéphane Coco, from Le Métropole in Menton.

The third is Takayuki Kamiya, from Chateau Eza in Eze Village.


Organized by Marcel Lesoille, five times world record holder for the opening of oysters, the event was held under the Honorary Presidency of the Jacques and Laurent Pourcel brothers, trebly starred from 1998 to 2006 at the "Jardin des Sens" (Garden of Senses) in Montpellier, ambassadors of Gastronomy on the France Pavilion in the Shanghai World Expo, who have just opened the restaurant "Sea Sens" in the brand new boutique-hotel "Five Hotel & Spa" in Cannes. The competition was hosted was by Carinne Teyssandier who has been proposing over 4 years in the "Télématin" broadcast gourmet recipes and "Rungis" in live duplex.

The President of the jury was Pascal Garrigues, who won the 2010 edition and second de cuisine Joel Garault from the Hotel Hermitage in Monte Carlo.

The Organising Committee had previously selected 12 candidates from the registration forms. Only one candidate per school was selected. The seafood was provided by the organization to carry out the dish made of sea urchin, monkfish fillet, abalone and lobsters. The jury was composed of equal numbers of Chefs and gastronomy journalists. Competition held in partnership with Enodis, Pomona TerreAzur, Dany, France Haliotis, Miscea, Tout Technique, Air France, Laurent Perrier, Orru, Revol, and MGM Grand Las Vegas.
