Dolce Vita and Italian gastronomy in Mougins


On the weekend of 28 and 29 April 2012, in the old village of Mougins, the white marquee of Italian market had taken possession of the Place des Patriotes to offer many gastronomes a full array of transalpine specialties with delicious tastings along their stride among the stands.

From all over the peninsula, producers of fine wines, panettone, truffle from alba products, chocolate, pasta, breads, delicatessen and many other delights, displayed their expertise and incomparable flavors of Italian cuisine. To treat oneself to a ballad among transalpine quality products or prepare a gastronomic meal, fans had a choice among the many products offered with a range of reasonable, affordable prices. Culinary workshops with the chefs of Etoiles de Mougins were also on hand to learn cooking, proposing the preparation of pasta, risotto or Italian-style dishes for a public fond of Italian specialties.

During the inauguration on Saturday 28, Mayor Richard Galy, accompanied by Gerard Spinelli, Mayor of Beausoleil, Loise Gourdon, General Counselor and Le Cannet Deputy Mayor Michele Tabarot, welcomed the revival of this beautiful gastronomic event, called two years ago the Piedmontese Market. A show of Italian folklore with a parade by the "Sbandieratori Musica Terre Sabaude" with their flag throwers enliven the inauguration, to give an air of dolce vita to this italian spring.
