INA displays photos of stars at Festival de Cannes

On May 17 at Cannes City Hall, INA (french Institut National de l'Audiovisuel) presented an exhibition of twenty photographs taken during outstanding filming of Francois Chalais' broadcasts (Cinépanorama and Reflets de Cannes) installed in the yellow room, a rallying point of all the Cannes festivaliers.

During the inauguration in the presence of First Deputy Mayor Mr David Lisnard and CEO of INA M. Mathieu Gallet, a selection of eight short programs called "30 seconds for a trip" were presented to guests and the press. They will then be broadcasted throughout the Festival on the official site of the city of Cannes and on the INA's blog.

These programs produced by Serge Viallet, are an invitation to travel in time through the Croisette. A contest on the website of the City of Cannes will also allow users to view and review Francois Chalais' emissions and the CD "Marlene Dietrich", both published by the INA, as well as the Festival de Cannes guestbook in which the INA took part.

The partnership does not stop there since many years, INA and  the Festival de Cannes have teamed up for the "Cannes interactive fresco", available on the INA's website the but also in Cannes on interactive terminals installed at the City Hall and in the Casino Croisette lobby.

The INA, partner with the Lucien Barrière Group, dresses up also the pediment of the entrance to the Casino Croisette with an exhibition of previously unpublished photographs of the greatest 7th Art stars, such as Claudia Cardinale, a smile on her lips, Romy Schneider, Robert Hossein, Sophia Loren, Alain Delon immortalized on glossy paper. An exhibition thaht opens wide the door to nostalgia and masterfully revives the magic of an era. The numerical distinction honoring a media personality will be presented during the Festival this year to actor director Nanni Moretti.

The launching of TV Top Chrono, an online game developed by the teams of the INA, offering to rediscover the history of television, took place the same evening, hosted by TV star Michel Drucker at the Marriott Hotel’s VIP Room in Cannes. It is an illustration of INA's new digital strategy. After donning his heritage to the public on Internet, the INA is proposing to give users the means to reclaim that memory, to discover the history in a fun and interact way.
