During his speech, Frédérique Anton welcomed all present chefs and public and declared: "Media are something crazy. I realize every day. I am impressed by the reaction of the people in the street. I'm even embarrassed that you may ask me every two minutes to take a picture or sign an autograph. But media also allows us to spread messages. With the help of the media, we had a mutation, the passage from the cuisine "chore" to the cuisine "passion". People can realize that there is a cure against junk food. That eating well and good can be easy, fast and cheap. The relationship between media and food was good. Thanks to this passion for cooking, hotel schools are full and restaurants are full of young talent that will be great chefs of tomorrow. A festival like Mougins is part of the mediatisation and we're lucky to be here. This is part of our job, but I can assure you that I am a chef and a 3-star Michelin Meilleur Ouvrier de France, it is the fruit of a long process." This great event which had the merit to have French cuisine be talked about and gastronomy, thereby encouraging many young people to the profession. The traditional souvenir photo of the Etoiles de Mougins was then taken in the presence of all the chefs and personalities who have contributed to the success of this great event and the unveiling by the Mayor Richard Galy of the plaque commemorating the seventh edition of the Festival Gastronomy 2012 engraved with the name of its honorary president, Frédéric Anton.
