Inauguration of the 25th Agecotel show
It was just over 11 a.m. on Monday, January 23, 2012, when Mr. Christian Estrosi, Deputy Mayor of Nice and President of the new metropolis Nice - Côte d'Azur inaugurated the 25th edition of Agecotel, only exhibition in the hotel and catering trade in the south, which is held every two years at the Palais des Expositions de Nice. Eric Ciotti, President of the General Council of Alpes Maritimes, Frederic Jourdan Gassin, President of Agecotel, Paul Obadia CEO of Agecotel and chefs guests of honor, Jacques and Laurent Pourcel were accompanying the Mayor of Nice. After a friendly stroll in the aisles and visits to the stands, a few gourmet tastings and handshakes, Christian Estrosi recalled in his speech the success of the last edition with over 210 exhibitors and a 20% increase between 2008 and 2010 in the food and equipment and more than 14,000 visitors during four days of show, out of them half being decision makers. He recalled his raison d'être with its economic reality within the Euro-Mediterranean project and hailed the show made of know-how, professionalism, friendliness and conviviality.
